Classical/rock violinist Daisy Jopling is releasing her highly anticipated new single âIndian Jesus Liveâ via Tribeca Records on Motherâs Day, May 12th, 2024. âIndian Jesus Liveâ was composed by Daisy Jopling and Michael Feigenbaum and features Michael Feigenbaum, Firas Zreik, Gideon Forbes, Simon Fishburn and George Radi.
Classical/rock violinist Daisy Jopling was born in London, and now lives in NY. She has toured the world with her own band, the âDaisy Jopling Bandâ and with the creative string trio âTriology.â She has recorded nine albums, two with BMG RCA Victor. Daisy was the first international violinist to perform a major concert at the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt on November 4, 2022, collaborating with Egyptian stars Hany Adel, Wust El Balad and Noha Fekry.
Her Solo work has included playing a concerto at the Royal Albert Hall in London at the age of 14, playing twice before 30,000 people at the opening of the Vienna Festival, touring with her band to 53 stunning concert halls in China, creating âIlluminanceâ on Bannerman Island, NY which aired on PBS in 2021 and 2022, and performing her own âAwakeningâ Concert at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center.
In June 2021 Daisy premiered a new show called âTranscendenceâ, directed by iconic Olympic Ceremony creator Daniel Flannery, based on African American author Sarah Bracey Whiteâs memoir âPrimary Lessonsâ.
Daisy has collaborated with superstars worldwide, including Bobby McFerrin and Rob Evan from the US, Hollywoodâs Hans Zimmer, Indiaâs Shubha Mudgal, Cubaâs Omara Portuondo, Africaâs Oliver Mtukutsi, Austriaâs Joe Zawinul, Wolfgang Muthspiel and Julian Rachlin, The Netherlandâs Janine Jansen, Russiaâs Boris Grebenshikov and Londonâs Tony Award Winning director Tom Morris.
She has composed music for various ensembles which has been performed in major concert halls throughout the world, and for the last 11 years she has performed her own shows âThe String Pulse Experienceâ and âAwakeningâ for her Band, orchestra, solo singers, dancers, and youth choir, enhanced by custom made lighting design and projections. Both shows give opportunities to young instrumentalists, singers and dancers to perform on great stages alongside world class musicians. âMusic Magic: The String Pulse Experienceâ documentary film by Diana C. Frank has aired on Mountain Lake PBS.
