Netball World Cup 2023 - How to watch on TV and BBC iPlayer

The Netball World Cup 2023 is taking place in Cape Town, South Africa this Summer from 28 July to 6 August.

BBC television will have live coverage of matches from Monday 31 July up to and including the final across BBC Television, iPlayer, Sounds and the BBC Sport website.

BBC Radio 5 Live will have coverage of key matches, with commentary of selected games on 5 Live and 5 Sports Extra, including opening weekend fixtures, England v Malawi and England v Scotland.

The BBC has been integral to the growth of the game, broadcasting live Netball as part of its Commonwealth Games coverage since 1998, and also covering the Netball World Cup 2019 from Liverpool, which saw New Zealand win the final against Australia in dramatic fashion.

This year’s tournament will see England and Scotland go up against each other in Pool B, alongside additional home nation representation with Wales in Pool C.

Format of the Netball World Cup

There are 16 teams in four pools (A-D). In the first stage of the tournament from 28 July to 30 July the top three sides from each go to Pool F & G.

In the second pool stage, they contest three further matches against teams they have yet to play.

The top two teams from each pool move to the semi-finals.

The final is at 5pm on Sunday 6 August.

Pool B: England, Malawi, Scotland and Barbados

Pool C: Jamaica, South Africa, Wales and Sri Lanka

Pool D: New Zealand, Uganda, Trinidad & Tobago and Singapore

From Monday 31 July, BBC television will have live coverage of matches across BBC Television, iPlayer, Sounds and the BBC Sport website.

There will also be live commentary of every England game on the BBC Sport website and app.

How to watch the Netball World Cup Semi-Final and Final

The Semi-finals will be shown on BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport Website and app.

Semi-final two will be on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer on 5 August at 3pm-5pm.

The Final will be on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer on Sunday 6 August at 5pm to 7pm.
