The Washington Post was recognized by the 2024 Webby Awards with 17 total distinctions – twelve nominations and five honorees – spanning projects across the newsroom and advertising teams.
Those recognized include The Post’s groundbreaking investigation into the Smithsonian’s practice of holding human remain s for “Best Individual Editorial Feature.” The Post’s Audio department earned three nominations for episodes of its “Post Reports” podcast as well as honors for its daily news podcast “The 7,” its national park podcast journey “Field Trip” and its award-winning investigative podcast series “The Empty Grave of Comrade Bishop.”
The Post’s Video, Social and TikTok teams received a combined four nominations for their reporting and accounts. Newer products such as “On the Record” and “Newsprint” earned a nomination and an honorable mention, respectively.
The Webby Awards, established in 1996, are the leading global awards honoring excellence on the web. Webby Award nominees are voted on by a body of more than 2,000 judges, along with the general public.
