The 49th Season Premiere of "SNL," Hosted by Pete Davidson, Draws 4.8 Million Viewers

• The 49th season premiere, hosted by Pete Davidson with musical guest Ice Spice, drew 4.8 million viewers and 0.96 in the 18-49 demo.

• That’s an increase of 19% in total viewers and 31% in the demo vs. last year’s season 48 premiere. It’s the best demo performance for a season premiere since 2020.

• It was the highest “SNL” season premiere on Peacock, more than doubling last year’s premiere.

• It was the third-highest “SNL” performance on Peacock through one-day viewing, behind only Nov. 12, 2022 (Dave Chappelle/Black Star) and Feb. 4, 2023 (Pedro Pascal/Coldplay).

• The episode drew more than 1.2 million social media interactions, the most since Nov. 13, 2021 (Jonathan Majors/Taylor Swift).

• “SNL” returns this weekend with host and musical guest Bad Bunny.
