10 April 2024 – Multi-Platinum rock group SUM 41’s final album, Heaven :x: Hell has made the group’s last album chart debut in the US and countries around the world. The 20-track double album debuts on the Billboard charts at number four Top Current Album Sales, number five Top Album Sales, number six Vinyl Albums, number 11 Top Alternative Albums, number 19 Top Rock Albums, number 20 Independent Albums, number 23 Top Rock & Alternative Albums, and number 108 on the Billboard 200. Internationally, the album debuts at number four in Germany, number eight in France, number 26 in the UK, number 37 in Canada, and number 48 in Italy.
Released by BMG label Rise Records, the group previously scored their first Number One on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart in more than two decades with the album’s lead single ‘Landmines’ (chart week dated March 9, 2024). Nearly twenty-two-and-a-half years since the band last topped the chart, the group make Billboard chart history by ending the longest stretch between Alternative Airplay Number One’s since the charts’ inception 36 years ago.
Currently, the song is number five both Alternative Airplay and Rock & Alternative Airplay, number 23 Mainstream Rock Airplay, and debuts at number 44 Hot Rock & Alternative Songs.
In May 2023, SUM 41 made a collective statement saying they would be disbanding after 27 years together. The group is currently performing on their 70+ confirmed date Tour of The Setting Sum final headlining world tour. The group kicked off their run of shows on March 1 with dates running throughout 2024 before their final show on January 30, 2025, in Toronto, ON.
