PRESCRIPTION SONGS EXTENDS PUBLISHING DEAL WITH VAUGHN OLIVER

MULTI-PLATINUM MUSIC PRODUCER, SOUND DESIGNER, DJ & MIX ENGINEER WHOSE CREDITS INCLUDE A NEW WORK FOR USHER AND CHART-TOPPERS FOR NICKI MINAJ, LATTO, KIM PETRAS AND MORE

Leading independent publishing company PRESCRIPTION SONGS has extended their publishing deal with multi-platinum music producer, sound designer, DJ, and mix engineer Vaughn Oliver, it was announced today (February 12) by Prescription Songs founder Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald and Rhea Pasricha, Head of A&R, West Coast.

Since signing with Prescription Songs in 2019, the LA-based studio maven has reached significant heights with his production repertoire working with many of today’s chart-topping artists. Vaughn’s cuts include Latto’s 3x Platinum single “Big Energy” (which reached #1 on U.S. Rhythmic chart and #1 on Top 20 and landed him a nod on Variety’s 2022 Hitmakers list), Nicki Minaj’s 2x Platinum single “Super Freaky Girl” (debuted at #1 on the Hot 100), Megan Thee Stallion’s single “Her,” “Softest Touch” by Khalid, “Hotter Now” by Lu Kala and multiple songs for Kim Petras who he’s been an instrumental producer for, contributing to multiple tracks such as “Future Starts Now,” “Malibu,” “Sweet Spot,” “Icy,” and “Do Me.” In 2023, he also made significant contributions to Kim’s music by working on nine songs from the album Problematique and three songs from the album Feed the Beast. His most recent credit includes the song “Please U” from Usher’s newest album Coming Home.

As a sound designer, Vaughn’s created four Splice packs called Power Tools, all of them #1 Downloaded, and all consistently within the Top 10 on the Splice charts. In 2018, Vaughn was nominated for a GRAMMY for “Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical” for Chromeo’s Head Over Heels. Vaughn’s recent and frequent collaborators include Dr. Luke, Tobias Wincorn, Aaron Joseph, Malibu Babie, LunchMoney Lewis, KBeaZy, Ryland Blackinton, Nico Stadi, and Chloe Angelides, among others. Vaughn Oliver’s early career started forming as one-half of the American DJ and electronic music duo Oliver, known for their genre-blending electronic music, remixes, and original tracks, including the album Full Circle.
