The Good News Corporation and Paul Sladkus in partnership with Manhattan Borough President, Mark Levine present “A Moment of Silence for Peace” in Times Square at noon marking the 40th anniversary of International Peace Day on September 21, 2024. The celebration is also a kick off for climate week, and will be followed by a five hour live and worldwide streaming of a concert featuring Super-talented artists, key note speakers and Peace Influencers and peace advocates from all over the world. The production is being produced by Paul Sladkus and OMMM. It also features the largest Peace Friendship Tree art piece by American Oriental Arts Foundation ever in Times Square standing 26.3 feet wide and 10 feet high.
The broadcast will begin with a virtual plea for world peace and a moment of silence and cease fire delivered by Ringo Starr. World Star PR is proud to be one of the representatives for this extravaganza and even prouder to have some of our most talented artists performing and donating their time live and on stage for one of the only causes that affects the entire planet.
Opening the talent is multi-award winning composer and film soundtrack architect Randy Edelman (My Cousin Vinny, Last of the Mohicans, Ghostbusters ll, Kindergarten Cop, The Mask, While You Were Sleeping, The Bruce Lee Story, and over 100 others). He will be introduced by the King Moore Unity Project who will sing their hit song originally written and recorded by Jackie DeShannon “Put A Little Love In Your Heart.” The Unity Project features 7 children ranging from age 6 through 9, and will be performed by 8 year old King Moore, 7 year old Lake Anthony and 9 year old Royal Rose. This will all be preluded by a rousing speech by Tribeca Record Label owner, founder of Let Me Help, Inc. and PEP Real Estate owner John “SohoJohnny” Pasquale.
Also playing for the celebration of the 55th Anniversary of “Woodstock Forever” is the nostalgic rock band THE AMERICAN RELICS consisting of frontman, guitarist and vocalist John Gitano, Guitarist Neal Lazar, Bassist Nelson Montana, Vocalist Adrienne Dugger, Acoustic Guitarist Patty Jarman, Keyboardist Bill Gulino and drummer John McCann. They will be singing their YouTube smash “The Eyes of 1969.”
That sector will be followed by The Devine Woman segment which will be hosted by NY society’s leading lady Lorraine Silvetz. She will introduce Chicago’s Sweetheart House Music superstar Irene Michaels who will sing her award winning hit “I Like Rain” celebrating Climate Week. Also showcased is the lovely and beautiful NYC and London’s Cabaret Queen Quinn Lemley, the essence of Rita Hayworth.
Closing this phenomenon will be the International Superstar, world renowned opera pop-crossover Georgia Fumanti recently signed to Virgin Records. She will be performing 3 songs right before the entire cast joins her on stage followed by a virtual message from Stevie Wonder.
