Over 10 million faithful viewers and counting for the BBC’s hit series The Traitors so far in 2025

Tune in this week for the last three episodes and the series concludes on Friday 24 January in a highly anticipated finale which promises the series biggest twist yet

Published: January 21, 2025 — The first episode of The Traitors series 3, has been watched by over 10m viewers to date, with 2.2m 16-34 year olds tuning in, breaking its own record for most viewed episode of the programme.

This makes the third series debut of The Traitors the biggest BBC unscripted episode since the first episode of Planet Earth III*; the biggest BBC audience for an Entertainment programme since the 2023 Eurovision Grand Final; and the biggest on demand audience for an unscripted show since at least 2022 (when the new BARB audience measurement system began).

In addition, Episodes 2 and 3 have been watched by over 9m each so far, demonstrating how the series continues to bring people together for unmissable content on the BBC and solidifying its position as an Entertainment highlight of the year.

The Traitors, made by Studio Lambert, part of All3Media, has once again undoubtably gripped the nation with its unique blend of trust and treachery and Series 3 is set to conclude on Friday 24 January at 8.30pm on BBC One and iPlayer. But will viewers see the Faithful weed out all the Traitors and be victorious, or will the Traitors remain undetected, and take the life changing sum of money of up to £120,000?

Following the finale there will be an extra special extended episode of The Traitors: Uncloaked also on BBC One and Sounds, where Ed Gamble will be joined by all of the finalists, the whole cast of this series and Claudia Winkleman, as they react to the final episode and reveal everything about their time at the castle.

For fans who want even more, The Traitors US, Series 3 will be descending upon BBC iPlayer following the finale on Friday, where the first 5 episodes will be available to stream after Uncloaked. In addition to all this, the BBC is excited to bring the first UK celebrity series to screens later in the year.

The Traitors is produced by Studio Lambert Scotland for BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The fourth series (12×60) and the celebrity series is (9×60) of The Traitors has been commissioned by Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment Commissioning for the BBC. The executive producers for Studio Lambert Scotland are Mike Cotton, Sarah Fay and Lewis Thurlow with and Production Executives, Lynette Woods-Reynolds and Gemma Scholes.
