ITV today confirms the VIP guests who will join Jonathan Ross as he hosts Oscars Live, as for the first time in almost two decades UK viewers can experience the glitz and the glamour of the Oscars® completely free and exclusively on ITV1 and ITVX.
From 10.15pm on Sunday 10th March on ITV1 and ITVX actor Richard Armitage, actor, film critic and comedian Ben Bailey Smith, actress Fay Ripley and TV and radio presenter Yinka Bokinni will join Jonathan in his bespoke London studio live on the night of the Oscars®, talking through the latest predictions, sharing behind-the-scenes footage and reacting as the most famous evening in film unfolds.
Coverage kicks off with Ross King live on the red carpet in LA and joined by Variety’s Angelique Jackson from 9pm, exclusively on ITVX. The duo will be broadcasting directly from the event at the Dolby® Theatre in LA. They’ll speak to some of the world’s most recognisable faces and hear how they feel about the highly anticipated ceremony (all ITV1 content will be available on STV and STV Player).
PLUS – The next day, continue to enjoy awards season, either by streaming the full ceremony over breakfast or with a 90-minute highlights package of the ceremony, airing on ITV1 at 10.45pm on Monday 11th March. Plus this will be available to stream on the ITVX pop up Oscars page (both versions will remain available for three weeks).
Warm up for the awards with a carefully curated, dedicated FAST channel available now on ITVX. It features Oscar®-nominated films from the past, including Monster’s Ball, Winter’s Bone, Adaptation, Bugsy Malone, Black Narcissus and Precious.
