ONEREPUBLIC RELEASES “NOBODY (FROM KAIJU NO.8)”

12 APRIL 2024 (TORONTO, ON) – Today, GRAMMY® nominated band, OneRepublic, released their brand new single, “Nobody (from Kaiju No. 8)”. This song was written specifically for the ending theme of the anime “Kaiju No. 8”, which will begin airing worldwide starting Saturday, April 13th. Kaiju No.8 is a new anime series from the hit comic book series “Kaiju No.8” (怪獣8号).

3x GRAMMY® Award winning writer/producer and lead singer of OneRepublic, Ryan Tedder, worked on the new track during a trip to Japan last year. Of the new single, Ryan shared, “We met with the entire Kaiju team and I was really inspired by the characters and by the energy that they wanted, with the song feeling uplifting and fun with a moment of brightness. I wrote the lyrics to this song in my favorite city, Tokyo, in my favorite country to visit, so I can definitely say that Japan itself is a major inspiration for this song.”

The new single follows the band’s single, “I Don’t Wanna Wait,” with GRAMMY-winning global icon David Guetta from last week. In just a week, the track already boasts over 9 million streams.
