The epic, genre-bending saga 3 Body Problem from creators, executive producers and writers David Benioff, D. B. Weiss and Alexander Woo, debuted at No. 2 on the English TV List with 11M views in its first four days.
On March 25, Netflix united 3 Body Problem fans and ignited a global conversation with a recreation of the pivotal scene from Episode 105, “Judgement Day,” when screens and locations around the world are hijacked by the ominous message “You Are Bugs.” It is a story-defining moment when 3 Body Problem’s characters learn that the extraterrestrial forces are hostile and intend to exterminate humanity. It poses a thought-provoking “what if?”.
Throughout the day on March 25, “You Are Bugs” took over more than 28 different countries across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America including Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, France, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, the Nordics, Peru, the Philippines, Poland, Romania, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, the UK and the US.
“You Are Bugs” was brought to life in a way that only Netflix can worldwide, including:
• Digital screens in heavily trafficked areas like New York’s Times Square, Zona T in Bogata, Plaza de Callao in Madrid, Southern Cross Station in Melbourne, Oxford Westgate and Oxford Parkway in Oxford, Shibuya Crossing and Shinjuku in Tokyo, CF TEC Tower in Toronto and Metro Świętokrzyska (Subway) in Warsaw
