17 May, 2024 (TORONTO, ON) – Today, quadruple-platinum, JUNO Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter Preston Pablo releases the latest new remix of his hit “Dance Alone” with Latin Grammy Award-winning Colombian artist Juliana via 31 East/Republic Records/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company.

This marks Preston Pablo’s latest collaboration with Juliana Velásquez, which arrives as “Dance Alone” enjoys continued success at Canadian radio. The track is presently recurrent at Canadian Top 40 radio, #11 on the Hot AC charts and #8 at Main AC.

“Getting to make this remix with Juliana was so fun,” says Preston Pablo. “We collaborated on something before this remix and when I first heard her voice, I knew she was special. I got the chance to go down to Bogotá, Colombia to film the music video and hang with Juliana and her team. She’s a great person with so much passion and a big heart. She took me around the city and showed me a little bit of what life is like in her home. It really made this collaboration so much more meaningful aside from the music itself. It was an amazing experience that I’m honoured to share with the world!”

“When I heard ‘Dance Alone’ for the first time I was more than trapped… It’s beautiful when a song embraces you like that,” adds Juliana. “When I found out that Preston wanted to make this remix with me, I was very excited because it’s a song that I love, but also, because it would be my first collaboration in English… It was completely magical and unexpected.”

Preston Pablo recently completed a US tour supporting fellow Canadian Jon Vinyl with stops in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Chicago, and more. The new Spanish remix of “Dance Alone” arrives on the heels of the latest version of the track featuring Qing Madi and Nonso Amadi, which released last month. Posting a call-out on social media here, Preston asked fans who they’d like to have collaborate on the track, resulting in over 718K UGC creates using the song.

With his honest lyrics and R&B-infused melodies, the emerging artist released “Love You Bad”, closing 2022 by showcasing his ability to cross genres. Last year was a banner year for Preston, with the rising chart success of “Flowers Need Rain” – his debut single backed by 31 East, Republic Records, and Universal Music Canada – with multi-platinum producer-songwriters Banx & Ranx. The quadruple platinum-selling single currently has over 132.2M global streams and has reached a Top 5 spot at Top 40 and Top 10 at Hot AC and Mainstream AC. “Flowers Need Rain” was recently the #1 most Shazamed track in Canada and achieved multiple global Viral Top 50 Spotify playlist adds (including Germany, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and more). Preston left 2022 with 2 songs in the Top 5 at Mainstream AC – “Winter Wonderland” at #2 and “Flowers Need Rain” at #5 with over 200 million audience impressions at Canadian radio.

Stay tuned for much more to come from Preston Pablo.
