“Meet the Press with Kristen Welker” is #1 in the Key Demo This Past Sunday 

August 27, 2024 — Meet the Press with Kristen Welker (MTP) was the #1 Sunday public affairs show in the key demo this past Sunday, Aug. 25, according to data from Nielsen Media Research. 

On digital, MTP saw 1.7 million viewers across platforms last week. 

#1 in the Key Demo on Sunday 

MTP averaged 386,000 viewers in the demo most valued by news advertisers this Past Sunday, leading ABC’s This Week by +13,000 (+3%) among viewers aged 25-54. CBS’s Face the Nation was retitled. 

Sunday’s broadcast featured exclusive interviews with Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass). The program averaged 2.367 million total viewers, trailing ABC by just 6%. 

1.7M Views across Digital Platforms

MTP saw 1.7 million video views across platforms last week, with 210,000 viewers watching the full episode on YouTube in addition to linear viewership. 

For the month of August, MTP reached over 3 million video views, with an average of 250,000 YouTube viewers. The average viewer watched 32 minutes per full episode on YouTube.

#1 in Total Viewers in Washington, D.C. for 9 Years 

MTP again ranked #1 among the key demo and total viewers in the influential Washington, D.C. market. Among total viewers, MTP has not lost a Sunday in the nation’s capital for over nine years.
