“MEET THE PRESS WITH KRISTEN WELKER” IS #1 IN THE KEY DEMO

March 12, 2024 — Meet the Press with Kristen Welker (MTP) was the #1 Sunday public affairs show in the key demo this past Sunday, March 10, according to data from Nielsen Media Research. 

MTP also outperformed ABC’s This Week in total viewers, which it has done for 8 of the last 9 weeks. The broadcast increased its total viewership over the prior week and improved its competitive positions across the board to both This Week and CBS’s Face the Nation. 

#1 in the Key Demo This Past Sunday 

MTP ranked #1 in the A25-54 demo this past Sunday, averaging 406,000 viewers in the demo most valued by news advertisers. It improved its lead in the demo over ABC vs. the prior week by 16% and reversed its gap vs. CBS. 

Sunday marked the third consecutive Sunday in which MTP has outperformed ABC in the key demo. 

Sunday’s broadcast featured Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.), Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif). It averaged 2.417 total viewers, once again finishing the week ahead of ABC. It trailed CBS, which continues to rate for just 30 minutes of its hour-long program, by just 8%.

MTP Audiences Watch 200K Hours on Digital

Last week, MTP content was viewed by online audiences for more than 200,000 hours, reaching 1.7M video views across platforms.

Sunday’s full episode received 181,000 viewers on YouTube on top of its linear viewership. 

#1 in Washington for 8 Years 

MTP beat the competition combined in the key demo this past Sunday in the influential Washington, D.C. market, where it has not lost a Sunday in total viewers in over 8 years.
