Ranks #1 in the Key A25-54 Demo Season-to-Date
Viewers Consume Over Two Million Additional Hours Across Digital Platforms
December 17, 2024 — Meet the Press with Kristen Welker was the #1 Sunday public affairs show in the key demo this past Sunday, December 15, according to Nielsen. Meet the Press has ranked #1 in A25-54 for five consecutive weeks for the first time in over two years.
Meet the Press averaged 424,000 key A25-54 demo viewers, leading ABC by +91,000 (+27%) and CBS by +43,000 (+11%). Meet the Press has now beaten ABC’s This Week for eight consecutive weeks for the first time in over four years.
The Welker-led program ranks #1 for the current broadcast season among key A25-54 demo viewers. Meet the Press is the only program up versus the same point last season.
Meet the Press also averaged 2.299 million total viewers this past Sunday, leading ABC by +33,000 (+1%),
Meet the Press continues to lead in digital viewership for Sunday public affairs programs, recording 11.6 million video views across digital platforms last week. In addition, viewers consumed over two million hours of content.
Meet the Press was once again #1 in total viewers and the key A25-54 demo for the week in the influential Washington, D.C. market, beating the competition combined in A25-54 viewers. Meet the Press has never lost a month in the Washington, D.C. market among total viewers.
Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt) and Debra Tice, the mother of missing American journalist Austin Tice.
