May 17, 2024 – The 2024 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards have officially turned out the lights on ‘country music’s party of the year’ with BBR Music Group Lainey Wilson coming out atop the biggest winners of the night scoring three of the evening’s biggest awards including Music Event of the Year with labelmate Jelly Roll, her second consecutive Female Artist of the Year, and the evening’s highest honor Entertainer of the Year.
Wilson kickstarted the show with a two-song performance including a cover of crowd-pleaser ‘God Blessed Texas’ before launching into a song of her own, the new single ‘Hang Tight Honey’, from her upcoming new studio album Whirlwind.
BBRMG recording artist and BMG songwriter Jelly Roll then took to the stage to give a sneak peek into his newest upcoming album with the early single ‘Liar’.
Broken Bow Records recording artist and BMG songwriter Jason Aldean performed a touching version of ‘Should’ve Been A Cowboy’ in tribute to his friend and revered country superstar Toby Keith, who passed away earlier this year.
Following Aldean’s performance, reigning Female Artist of the Year, Lainey Wilson, took home the honor for the second straight year.
Just moments later, the unstoppable BBRMG duo of Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson were awarded Music Event of the Year for the chart-topping single ‘Save Me’.
To cap the night off, Wilson was once again called to the stage as her name was read as evening’s highest honoree and first-time Entertainer of the Year. Wilson also won Entertainer of the Year during the 2023 CMA Awards.
Wilson joins Aldean as the only two BBRMG artists to have been crowned with the ACM Awards’ highest honor.
