Joseph Ferguson joins The Post’s Video team as a TikTok host and producer

Announcement from Director of Video Micah Gelman and Executive Producer Lauren Saks:

We are delighted to announce that Joseph Ferguson is joining Video as a TikTok host and producer.

Joseph comes to us from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, where he has worked as a social media producer, digital editorial strategist and video producer. He developed the ongoing video series In Context for the AJC four years ago, hosting and editing episodes for the website, YouTube and Facebook. Episodes of the explainer series included What Is RICO, How to Vote by Mail in Georgia, Young Thug and YSL on Trial and How to Stay Cool.

Joseph has a bachelor’s degree in political science and social science from Winthrop University. He is the chair of the Digital Journalism Task Force at the National Association of Black Journalists.

Joseph has a stutter and volunteers at the Arthur M. Blank Center for Stuttering Education and Research. This past summer he was included in their “Everyday Leader” segment. When not making videos, Joseph enjoys rock climbing and video games. He is moving from Atlanta to D.C. to join the Post TikTok team.

Joseph joins TikTokers Carmella Boykin and Dave Jorgenson, reporting to Lauren Saks. His first day is Jan. 16. Please join us in welcoming him.
