Feature films:

Films added to ITVX this month include Coen Brothers’ No Country for Old Men, Wes Anderson’s take on Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr. Fox, Jackie Chan action/ comedy The Tuxedo, romantic comedy Tootsie starring Dustin Hoffman, The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy starring Timothy Olyphant, Eat Pray Love starring Julia Roberts, and Almost Famous starring Kate Hudson. 80s hits Fatal Attraction, starring Glenn Close and The Adventures of Baron Munchausen starring John Neville will also be added. From the 90s ITVX will debut sci-fi hit Gattaca starring Ethan Hawke, Tarantino classic Pulp Fiction starring Samual L. Jackson and tearjerker My Girl starring Macauley Culkin.

Jonathan Ross’ monthly film recommendations cover a selection of the best films available on the service.

Platform 7
Jasmine, who is most recently known for her Bafta-nominated role as Jaq in Top Boy and also starred in Noughts and Crosses, will be joined by Toby Regbo as Matt (Chivalry, A Discovery of Witches), Yaamin Chowdhury (The Lazarus Project, The Essex Serpent) as Akash, and Phil Davis as Edward (Trying, Viewpoint).

The drama is a haunting thriller following central character Lisa who, after witnessing a cataclysmic event on Platform 7 of a railway station, finds her own fragmented memory jogged to reveal a connection between her own life and that of the event she has just witnessed. Supernatural elements combine with contemporary realism in this chilling drama.

Something Undone

A thrilling tale of psychological fear and suspense that employs the world of sound to tell the story of Canadian couple Jo and Farid, who delve into the gruesome 1980s slaughter of a family of five for the latest series of their true crime podcast.

Farid travels to the destitute town of Briddus, Newfoundland to put the pieces of the mystery together through witness interviews and covert investigation – meanwhile, Jo, who is a foley artist, isolates in her recently deceased mother’s country home to ready it for sale while creating chilling sounds to accompany Farid’s words.

This series is set in the fifth century in a brutal land of warring factions and tribes where lives were often fleeting and follows Arthur Pendragon as he evolves from being an outcast and becomes a legendary warrior and leader.

The series stars Iain De Caestecker (The Control Room, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as Arthur Pendragon, alongside Eddie Marsan (The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe, Deceit) as High King Uther, Ellie James (Giri/Haji, I May Destroy You) as Nimue, Nathaniel Martello-White (Small Axe, I Hate Suzie) as Merlin, Stuart Campbell (Rogue Heroes, Clique) as Derfel, Daniel Ings (I Hate Suzie, The Crown) as Owain, Valene Kane (The Fall, Gangs of London) as Morgan, Jordan Alexandra (Mammals) as Guinevere and Simon Merrells (Good Omens, Knightfall) as Gundleus.
The ensemble cast also features Steven Elder (The King, A Spy Among Friends) as Bishop Bedwin, Andrew Gower (Outlander, Carnival Row) as Sansum, Aneirin Hughes (Keeping Faith, Dream Horse) as Gorfydd, Emily John (My Policeman) as Ceinwyn, Tatjana Nardone (Devils, State of Consciousness) as Ladwyss, Ken Nwosu (Killing Eve, The Letter for the King) as Sagramor, and Billy Postlethwaite (The Great, Chernobyl) as Cadwys.

My Mom, Your Dad US
American iteration of the reality dating series, hosted by Emmy®-nominated actress and stand-up comedian Yvonne Orji.

December highlights on BritBox UK include full series of sitcom The Thin Blue Line starring Rowan Atkinson and top-motion animated series Creature Comforts. Britmas will also be celebrated with an extensive collection of Christmas specials including the following Bread: Christmas with the Boswells, Men Behaving Badly Christmas Special (1998), One Foot in the Grave Christmas Special ‘The Wisdom of the Witch’ (1995) and Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps: Christmas (2009).
