Ishaan Tharoor wins the 2024 Ted Sorensen award

Announcement from International Editor Douglas Jehl, Deputy International Editor Jennifer Amur and International Editor Benjamin Soloway:

We’re delighted to share the news that Ishaan Tharoor, our remarkable international affairs columnist, will be this year’s recipient of the Ted Sorensen award, an honor bestowed by Network 20/20, a New York-based group that seeks to bridge the gap between the private sector and foreign policy worlds.

Ishaan is being recognized for what the group calls his “consistent, high-quality columns that regularly ask readers to reckon with their worldview.” With the award, Ishaan joins a distinguished group that includes past recipients Clarissa Ward of CNN News and Alexander Vindman, the former director of European affairs on the National Security Council Staff. Ishaan will accept the award at a dinner in New York on Monday.

Ishaan is the founder and anchor of Today’s WorldView, which launched in 2017 and is one of The Post’s most widely read and distinctive newsletters. He joined The Post in 2014 after eight years as an editor and correspondent at Time magazine in Hong Kong and New York.
