As Kamala Harris and Donald Trump go head to head, there’s a full programme of coverage, analysis and reaction live from Philadelphia and Washington DC
[Date Published: September 10, 2024] — The BBC will be showing the ABC News Presidential Debate Simulcast between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump to UK and international audiences live on the BBC News Channel, BBC One, the BBC News website and app and BBC iPlayer, with a full programme of coverage, analysis and reactions from 1am – 5am BST Wednesday 11 September (8pm – Midnight EDT Tuesday 10 September) live from Philadelphia and Washington DC.
Sumi Somaskanda will be on the ground at the debate in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, along with the BBC’s North America correspondents including Senior North America correspondent Gary O’Donoghue and BBC North America journalist Nada Tawfik. Sumi and the team will be giving a full analysis and read out from the heart of the action.
Caitríona Perry will be anchoring the studio coverage from Washington DC before and after the debate – bringing live reports, analysis and reactions from a range of expert guests.
Audiences can follow the buildup from 5pm BST/12 noon EDT on the BBC News live page, which will continue through the debate with live reporting and expert analysis from BBC correspondents.
