All FBN Business Day Programs Place Among Top 20 Shows in Business News Viewers
‘Mansion Global’ Notches Most Affluent Program in Cable News Among 25-54 Demographic Year to Date
NEW YORK – November 2, 2021 – FOX Business Network’s (FBN) Kudlow (weekdays, 4 PM/ET) hosted by Larry Kudlow closed out October marking its highest-rated month ever, according to Nielsen Media Research. The program, which averaged 230,000 total viewers, delivered a 10% advantage over CNBC’s Closing Bell for the month. Additionally, FBN’s Business Day (9 AM-5 PM/ET) programming all placed among the top 20 shows in business news viewers, with Liz Claman’s The Claman Countdown (weekdays, 3 PM/ET) nabbing its highest-rated month of the year in the 25-54 demo.
Notably, Kudlow’s October 28th town hall special entitled Kudlow: Save America. Kill the Bill surrounding the Biden administration’s spending bill, notched the program’s highest-rated telecast since it launched earlier this year. Averaging 316,000 total viewers for the hour, it out-rated CNBC’s Closing Bell by 24%.
Stuart Varney’s three hour market-open program Varney & Co (weekdays, 9 AM-12 PM/ET) was the second highest-rated show on the network, averaging 221,000 total viewers, followed by The Evening Edit with Elizabeth MacDonald (weekdays 6 PM/ET) with 146,000 total viewers, FOX Business Tonight (weekdays 5 PM/ET) with 142,000 total viewers, CAVUTO: Coast to Coast (weekdays 12-2 PM/ET) netting 140,000 total viewers, along with Making Money with Charles Payne (weekdays 2 PM/ET) and The Claman Countdown each delivering 131,000 viewers. Maria Bartiromo’s Mornings with Maria (weekdays 6-9 AM/ET) and Lisa “Kennedy” Montgomery’s Kennedy (Monday-Thursday 7 PM/ET) rounded out the top 20 programs in business news.
Following the launch of FBN Prime, FOX Business’ new primetime programming slate, How America Works (Mondays, 8 PM/ET) scored its highest-rated Monday in the timeslot for the year in the 25-54 demo, meanwhile Stuart Varney’s American Built (Mondays 9 and 9:30 PM/ET) delivered FBN’s highest rated Monday in the timeslot for the year in total viewers. Mansion Global (Tuesdays, 9 and 9:30 PM/ET) also notched a new high, delivering the networks best performing 9 PM/ET Tuesday hour of the year in the demo. Meanwhile, CNBC delivered its lowest rated month in the A25-54 demo since October 2003.
Mansion Global, which explores luxury real estate, was the most affluent program among the 25-54 demo with an average median income of $168,200 year to date. The audiences for Kennedy, CAVUTO: Coast to Coast, Making Money with Charles Payne, The Claman Countdown, Wall Street Journal at Large (Fridays, 9:30 PM/ET) and Kudlow all averaged above $110,000 in median income, placing among the top 20 most affluent shows in cable news.
