Channel 4 and Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter reveal the filmmaking secrets of Harry Potter with Max Fosh, Zac Alsop and Elz The Witch
Published: October 21, 2024 — Channel 4 Sales’ Social Branded Entertainment team has launched a new social partnership ‘Creators Vs Experts’, which sees two of the UK’s biggest YouTubers face the ultimate challenge at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.
Max Fosh and Zac Alsop, viral internet sensations known for their comedy content, both have very different experiences of the Harry Potter universe – Max is a superfan, but Zac has never read the books or seen most of the films.
Max and Zac will go head-to-head against three of the greatest Harry Potter experts in the country, in a magical quiz hosted by Elz The Witch.
But with an exclusive after-hours tour to learn the filmmaking facts before the quiz, will the duo be able to come together to beat the experts?
With their studio tour covering everything from how the films were made, original props and costumes, to behind-the-scenes filmmaking magic, Zac and Max must do their best to memorise the information they receive. They’ll need to give maximum effort and show attention to detail to defeat the three experts successfully – facing them one-by-one over three rounds, the skill level of their opponent increases with each round. They’ll need to beat all three experts to win the final trophy.
Can they name every ingredient of the Polyjuice Potion, or how many times Daniel Radcliffe had his scar applied?
Max and Zac’s magical journey is the latest example of Channel 4’s engaging social branded entertainment content, as part of the broadcaster’s digital-first focus in their Fast Forward Strategy. The partnership, produced by Acclaimed Content, is Channel 4’s second with Warner Bros. Studio Tour London following the social branded programme ‘Crowd Sauce: The Search for Wizdem’ which launched in September 2023 on the digital-first brand Channel 4.0. It is the first cross-platform partnership between both parties and the episode will be broadcast on Channel 4’s YouTube as well as a 30 second TVC featuring on Channel 4 streaming.
The episode, live from Monday 21 October 2024, will also be made into six short-form clips for YouTube shorts, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.
