BBC Studios will once again produce the BBC’s coverage of the biggest and most watched song competition in the world following the 67th Eurovision Song Contest which was hosted by the BBC in Liverpool, on behalf of Ukraine in May 2023.
Following Loreen’s victory in Liverpool with the song Tattoo, the 68th edition of the Contest will be taking place in Sweden, culminating in the Grand Final which will be broadcast live from Malmö Arena. This will be the seventh time Sweden hosts the Contest.
How to watch Eurovision 2024 on the BBC
All three live programmes – both Semi Finals and the Grand Final – will once again all be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in 2024.
The Semi-Finals will take place on 7 and 9 May with the Grand Final on Saturday 11 May 2024.
Olly Alexander represents the UK at Eurovision 2024
One of the world’s most pioneering and multi-award winning music superstars, Olly Alexander, will represent the United Kingdom at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden in May 2024.
Olly revealed the news during the Grand Final of BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday 16 December 2023 to a delighted studio audience and to the millions of viewers watching at home.
Olly’s UK Eurovision song, co-written with Danny L Harle, will be revealed in due course.
How to watch the Eurovision 2024 Semi-Final Draw
The Eurovision year kicks off as Liverpool hands over the contest to Malmö home of the 2024 Song Contest on Tuesday 30 January.
The handover show features the draw which will determine which semi-final UK audiences will be able to vote in and is hosted by Swedish presenters Farah Abadi and Pernilla Månsson Colt.
