After winning his second Edison Jazz Award last October, renowned Dutch crooner Dennis van Aarssen will perform in France for the very first time! This exceptional concert will take place at the iconic Parisian venue New Morning, located at 7-9 Rue des Petites Écuries, 75010 Paris.
For this unforgettable evening, Dennis will be joined by jazz legend Jeff Franzel on piano, known for collaborating with Frank Sinatra, Mel Tormé, and Sammy Davis Jr., as well as for co-writing several of Dennis’s original songs. Joining them is Richard Frijters, bringing his virtuosity on double bass.
Dennis van Aarssen will perform a mix of original songs and timeless covers of his heroes, including Frank Sinatra, Charles Aznavour, and Nat King Cole. The common thread running through his repertoire and personal stories is love: whether romantic love, familial bonds, friendship, the heartache of a broken heart, or the hope of renewal and true love, every facet of love will be explored. During his show, titled “Close To You,” Dennis promises to take the audience on an emotional journey through life and love.
