Composer Randy Edelman Celebrates International Peace Day @ Times Square 9/21/24

World renowned composer and world peace advocate Randy Edelman will make a special appearance at Times Square (the corner Stone of the world) on Saturday September 21, 2024 at 1:00 PM EST. He will be performing “Everything is Possible” a song released via Tribeca Records at the onset of the Hamas attack on Israel. The song speaks to the underdog, the outlander, and holds the power to transform us on the inside and the ripple out in an ever-expanding circle of positivity that can impact the world at large. He will also perform his newest Tribeca Records release “Birds of Freedom” from his newest album set to release on 9/6/24 entitled “Waltzing on a High Wire.” The song is about love and hope, the lifeblood of humanity.

September 21, 2024 commemorates the 25th Anniversary of the United Nation’s General Assembly’s adoption of the Declaration and Program of Action on a Culture of Peace. In a world stifled by rising geopolitical tensions, the International Day of Peace salutes the power of global solidarity for building a peaceful and sustainable world. In a time of unprecedented challenges this has never been so important as new forces of division have emerged spreading hatred and intolerance.

In New York City, International Peace Day will be celebrated at Times Square, the epicenter and a cultural hub for theaters, music halls, dazzling lights, towering billboards and vibrant atmosphere, with an International Peace Day Concert from 11:00AM to 5:00PM EST on Saturday September 21, 2024. The concert will be Presented by All Faith Reverend Paul Sladkus, the spiritual founder of Good New Planet and Pause the World for Peace and the Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine.

Reverend Paul Sladkus was a TV, marketing and advertising executive with CVS and PBS working on over 150 network TV shows, many winning Emmys. He has now turned his focus through his Good New Planet podcasts, newsletters and Earth Day and Global Peace events in hopes of raising awareness and making the world a better place. The festivities will begin promptly at 12:00 PM with a virtual message from Ringo Starr leading the traditional moment of silence for peace.

Multi-Award winning maestro, and the most accomplished musician on the planet, Randy Edelman has scored over 100 of film and TV soundtracks (My Cousin Vinny, Last of the Mohicans, The Mask, Ghostbusters ll etc.) and has had his songs covered by the most popular artists of our time (Barry Manilow, Patti LaBelle, Nelly, Olivia Newton-John, The Carpenters etc.) He will follow his World Peace appearance that same evening at 8:00 PM at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center in Westhampton Beach sharing the soundscape of his life and career through his music.
