BMG Connects With BPoC Professionals At ADAN Career Day

30 April 2024 – As part of its commitment to drive greater diversity in the company, BMG, along with parent company Bertelsmann, participated in Europe’s largest career fair for Black and People of Color, the Adan Career Day 2024 in Frankfurt, Germany. The Career Day is specifically tailored for BpoCs, offering them a space for job opportunities and networking, to further develop their careers.

In 2023, BMG started its strategic collaboration with Adan’s Impact program to help the company address BPoC professionals in recruitment campaigns throughout Germany. The overall goal is to increase the diversity within the company’s workforce. Pierrot Raschdorff, Senior Director Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at BMG said: “Participating in the Adan Career Fair alongside our parent company Bertelsmann is a powerful signal. We are continuing our partnership with ADAN this year to promote even greater diversity within the company.”

After the successful first networking event in October 2023, BMG continued cooperating with ADAN by participating in the career fair in Frankfurt. Around 1,000 people from Germany and beyond attended the event to network with the 40 participating companies. Attendees also got to enjoy six panel discussions, 1:1 interviews with potential future employers, free professional photo shoots, and much more.

Josefina Grober from BMG’s Global Talent Acquisition Team, Alev Ayhan, Project Manager of Employer Branding at Embrace and Louisa Sodji, Junior Manager People Communications & Culture, attended the fair to represent Bertelsmann and BMG.

Louisa, a member of ADAN who now works at BMG, also found her job through the network’s career site: “It was a full-circle moment to be on the other side of representing BMG at the ADAN career fair. I was happy to share my positive experience and showcase the success of this partnership in hopes of inspiring many more PoC people to follow suit.”
