Baker Grace has just released her first single of 2024 titled “State of Mind”, which is now available worldwide. Baker Grace has been making quite a name for herself in the music industry, releasing several hit singles in 2023 and is coming out swinging this year with her latest song “State of Mind”.

Introspective indie-pop release “State of Mind”, written and performed by Baker Grace is about embracing the internal emotional struggle and knowing that it’s ok to feel sad sometimes. “State of Mind” is the first single release from an upcoming April 2024 EP, and Bake Grace will be releasing songs monthly up to that point.

In the words of Baker Grace:

“This song is about coming to terms with the fact that pain is a part of life. We all go through hard times in our life, and it can feel really lonely. It’s easy to want to get rid of sadness in the quickest way possible or pretend the bad feelings don’t exist, but I think we should acknowledge and celebrate every emotion because it is all part of what makes us human and being human is a beautiful thing. I think I always felt like I wasn’t allowed to be sad, and my problems didn’t matter because I have been very fortunate in life. At the same time, I have always struggled with a lot of self-doubt and my mental health. I realized the more I pushed down my feelings, the more they grew. My depression and anxiety became worse because I blamed myself and was ashamed of myself for having those feelings. Once I was able to accept them and learn how to deal with them with more love and more self-compassion, it was really freeing.”
