July 24, 2024 – Netflix has announced today a fourth season of Alpha Males created by Alberto and Laura Caballero and produced by Contubernio Films.
The series launched on Netflix in 2022 and soon scaled to become one of the most hilarious comedies of the year. Now, with production of Season 3 just wrapped, Netflix announces a Season 4 has just been greenlighted. “We are thrilled to keep on working with Netflix, creative freedom is the highest but so is responsibility as you know your work will be seen worldwide. We feel proud and satisfied about Spanish comedy travelling’ says Alberto Caballero. Laura Caballero adds ‘I feel very curious to see how the life of our Alpha Males will be in other countries. Working with Netflix is feeling absolute creative freedom, admiration and support, it is getting up to work with an unusual peace.”
Alpha Males tells the story of four friends in the middle of their 40-year-old crisis and their efforts to adapt to this new era of masculinity, deconstructing themselves (or trying to) in the process. Netflix has confirmed that the series will have forthcoming adaptations in different European markets such as France, Italy, The Netherlands and Germany. Diego Ávalos, VP of content for Spain, Portugal and Nordics in Netflix has said: “Alpha Males is the true reflection of how good stories emerge, the first two seasons reached our global Top 10 during three weeks. I’m proud to see this comedy created by the Caballero brothers will be adapted in several countries, showcasing the wonderful talent we have in Spain.”
