‘Nightline’ Shows 3-Month High in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54
On Monday, ‘Nightline’ Delivers Strongest Telecast in Adults 25-54 in 8 Months and Best Performance in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 in 3 Months

ABC News’ “Nightline” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (784,000), Adults 25-54 (224,000) and Adults 18-49 (139,000) during the week of Sept. 18, 2023, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” took the top spot in overall viewers in 19 of the last 20 weeks.
“Nightline”improved week to week in Total Viewers (+3% – 784,000 vs. 764,000) and Adults 25-54 (+1% – 2241,000 vs. 222,000), hitting 3-month highs in both measures ― since weeks of 6/12/23 and 6/5/23, respectively.
On Monday (9/18/23), “Nightline” delivered its strongest telecast in Adults 25-54 (440,000) in 8 months and its best performance in Total Viewers (1.143 million) and Adults 18-49 (335,000) in 3 months ― since 1/16/23 and 6/7/23, respectively.
This week “Nightline” covered co-anchor Juju Chang’s exclusive interview with Julie Chen Moonves; “Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts’ exclusive, candid interview with Kerry Washington; ABC News Live “Prime” anchor Linsey Davis’ exclusive broadcast interview with Gov. Ron DeSantis; ABC News multiplatform reporter Ashan Singh’s exclusive broadcast interview with former Ye employee about an alleged dangerous working environment; an update on the ongoing strikes involving Hollywood writers and actors; the international “Woman Life Freedom” movement one year after Mahsa Amini’s death; ABC News’ chief meteorologist Ginger Zee’s interview with eco-drag queen Pattie Gonia; a deadly school bus crash; the second season premiere of “Impact x Nightline” and more.
