Marc Miner & Long Beard Brothers Release New Single "Saved My Soul"

Vienna, Austria – A devilish collaboration has sparked an electrifying new single as Vienna-based outlaw country rocker Marc Miner teams up with the charismatic Styrian folk-country collective, the Long Beard Brothers. Their joint release, “Saved My Soul,” which dropped on January 31, 2025, via indie label Between Music, blends a rich fusion of country, blues, Irish folk, gypsy music, Spanish guitar, and Slavic melodies. This musical firestorm marks a bold moment in the Central European country and folk music scene.

The Long Beard Brothers—renowned for their rousing acoustic rock and folk influences—join forces with Marc Miner, whose gritty storytelling and Americana roots have earned him accolades across Europe. Their seamless chemistry is evident in “Saved My Soul,” a track that speaks to the eternal struggle between sin and redemption.

A Song of Struggle, Redemption, and Fire

Lyrically, “Saved My Soul” delves into a timeless Western folklore theme: the devil and the quest for salvation. Miner, who penned the track, shares, “The deep falls, the constant struggle to rise again, the relentless pursuit of becoming a better person—these themes have always fascinated me. It was clear to me from the start that the Brothers had to be part of this song. Their music embodies the very spirit of these stories.”

Recorded in a single day at the Long Beard Brothers’ studio in Styria, the song was a natural and spontaneous creation. “The energy in the studio was amazing from the very first moment,” says Beard Chris, drummer and one of the three lead singers of the Long Beard Brothers. “We had only met Marc once before at one of our concerts, but when he suggested this collaboration, it didn’t take much convincing. The excitement was immediate.”

Beard Dave, the band’s double bass player and high tenor, adds, “We didn’t need to overthink the music. When you strip away limitations and embrace music as a universal language, magic happens.”

With a dynamic blend of rich harmonies, haunting melodies, and a foot-stomping rhythm, “Saved My Soul” showcases the unique strength of this collaboration. In a genre often defined by its American roots, the song proves that European artists can bring their own compelling voice to country and folk music.
