NEW YORK — January 9, 2025 — Prime Video and ONE Championship return for their first event of 2025 with ONE Fight Night 27: Tang vs. Abdullaev. The event will showcase some of the best competitors across MMA, Muay Thai, and submission grappling, available exclusively to Prime members in the U.S. and Canada, beginning at 8 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. PDT this Friday, January 10. Prime members enjoy savings, convenience, and entertainment, all in a single membership.
Live from the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, ONE Fight Night 27 will feature a pair of MMA World Title bouts, including ONE Featherweight MMA World Champion Tang Kai of China defending his belt against undefeated challenger Akbar Abdullaev of Kyrgyzstan. As China’s first male MMA World Champion, Kai will look to remain undefeated in ONE and build on his 12-fight winning streak, while Abdullaev will look to claim the belt and maintain his 100 percent finishing rate.
In another featured bout, No. 2 contender Denice Zamboanga of the Philippines will face No. 4 ranked Alyona Rassohyna of Ukraine for the ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight MMA World Title. After a torn meniscus forced current titleholder Stamp Fairtex to withdraw from their World Title bout in June, Zamboanga will finally get her shot at gold. In the other corner, Rassohyna is one of two women to defeat Fairtex in MMA, and the winner of Friday’s showdown will earn a World Title unification match against Fairtex.
Also on the card, former ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion John Lineker of Brazil will face his toughest Muay Thai test to date, as he squares off against former two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Kulabdam Sor Kor Piek Uthai of Thailand. After winning his first two Muay Thai fight, Lineker looks to get his third consistent knockout and inch closer to a dream match with Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
ONE Fight Night 27 will also include the encore performance of two-time IBJJF World Champion Dante Leon of Canada, who will look to build on his successful promotional debut at ONE Fight Night 26 in a submission grappling bout against longtime rival Tommy Langaker of Norway, as well as a battle between North American Muay Thai sensations Luke Lessei of the U.S. and Cody Jerome of Canada.
