NBC to Air First Episode of Critically Acclaimed Peacock and Sky Drama Series “The Day of the Jackal” on Monday, Dec. 30

Published: December 13, 2024 — NBC will be airing the first episode of the critically acclaimed Peacock and Sky drama series “The Day of the Jackal” on Monday, Dec. 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
• “The Day of the Jackal” has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series (Drama) and star Eddie Redmayne was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in Television Series (Drama). In addition, the Critics Choice Awards nominated the show for Best Drama Series and Eddie Redmayne for Best Actor in a Drama Series.
• The series has already been renewed for a second season on Peacock and Sky.
• In the US, “The Day of the Jackal” ranked #1 on Peacock’s Top 10 TV Shows on its platform and was a Top 5 streaming original drama in the US for its opening weekend (according to Nielsen data).
• “The Day of the Jackal” is the biggest new series to ever launch on Sky, by any supplier, with the first episode reaching an audience of 4.5 million (after 26 viewing days).
• The Wall Street Journal said, “‘The Day of the Jackal’ is so relentlessly good” and the Los Angeles Times wrote, “The episodes unfold with the thrilling speed and sense of unnerving propulsion.”
ABOUT “THE DAY OF THE JACKAL”
Synopsis:
An unrivaled and highly elusive lone assassin, the Jackal (Eddie Redmayne), makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. But following his latest kill, he meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer (Lashana Lynch) who starts to track down the Jackal in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe, leaving destruction in its wake.
