Dec. 4, 2024 – President-elect Donald Trump agreed to sit down with NBC News’ Kristen Welker in an exclusive interview airing on Meet the Press on Sunday, Dec. 8. The interview will take place on Friday and marks his first network interview since winning the election.
Highlights from the interview will be released prior to Meet the Press on NBC News, NBC News NOW and NBCNews.com, all available on the NBC News app. The full video interview and transcript will publish on NBCNews.com this Sunday, Dec. 8.
Welker last sat down with President-elect Trump for an NBC News exclusive interview in September 2023. It generated 12 million views on YouTube and remained his only network sit-down during the 2024 campaign cycle.
Meet the Press with Kristen Welker was the #1 Sunday public affairs show in the key A25-54 demo this past Sunday, December 1, according to Nielsen. This marks Meet the Press’ third consecutive key demo weekly win and sixth consecutive week overperforming ABC’s This Week. Season-to-date, Meet the Press ranks #1 in A25-54.
