Ranks as #1 Afternoon News Program on All of TV Season-to-Date
November 19, 2024 — NBC News Daily is the #1 afternoon news program on network television in the key demo last week during its timeslot, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Winning the key A25-54 and A18-49 demos for the week, NBC News Daily averages 256,000 key A25-54 viewers, leading GMA3 by +49,000 (+24%). This marks NBC News Daily’s largest key demo win over GMA3 in 11 weeks.
Season-to-date, NBC News Daily is the #1 afternoon news program on all of TV in the key A25-54 demo, ahead of GMA3, also posting total viewership growth vs. last season. Since its premiere in September 2022, NBC News Daily has ranked ahead of CNN every week during the 12-4 p.m. ET daypart in total viewers and the key A25-54 demo.
Averaging 1.160 million total viewers, NBC News Daily is the only broadcast to increase total viewers versus the prior year with +110,000 (+10%), narrowing its gap with GMA3 by 71%.
NBC News Daily reaches even more viewers on its NBC News NOW streaming platform. Kate Snow, Morgan Radford, Vicky Nguyen and Zinhle Essamuah anchor from 12-4 p.m. ET on NBC News NOW, and depending on location, U.S. markets receive one of the four hours on their local NBC broadcast stations.
