NEW YORK — July 31, 2024 — Back at the infamous Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, Prime Video and ONE Championship return with a stacked card for ONE Fight Night 24: Brooks vs. Balart. The event will mark the final stop on the road to ONE 168: Denver – ONE Championship’s highly anticipated return to U.S. soil on September 6 at Ball Arena. ONE Fight Night 24 will be available exclusively to Prime members in the U.S. and Canada, beginning at 8 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. PDT this Friday, August 2. Prime members enjoy savings, convenience, and entertainment, all in a single membership.
The main event will showcase American, first-ranked contender Jarred “The Monkey God” Brooks, facing off against third-ranked contender Gustavo “El Gladiator” Balart of Cuba for the ONE Interim Strawweight MMA World Championship. Former divisional star Jarred is eager to reclaim his belt, after losing it to former champion Joshua Pacio, who is sidelined with an injury. Balart, a former Cuban Olympic wrestler, will look to extend his win streak to five and get his first taste of MMA World Championship gold.
The co-main event will feature ONE Women’s Atomweight Submission Grappling World Champion Danielle Kelly of the U.S. in her first title defense against Mayssa Bastos of Brazil. As a nine-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion with 118 career victories, Bastos will undoubtedly provide Kelly with her toughest challenge to date.
ONE Fight Night 24 will also feature a pivotal battle for positioning in the bantamweight Muay Thai division when third-ranked contender Felipe Lobo of Brazil takes on Thai-Algerian sensation Nabil Anane.
