May 30, 2024 — NBCUniversal News Group will spotlight LGBTQ+ Pride with special programming in June and beyond across NBC News, NBC News NOW, NBCNews.com, MSNBC, CNBC and NBCU Local.
Select highlights include:
- NBC OUT, NBCNews.com’s dedicated LGBTQ+ vertical, will publish its annual Pride 30 list, titled “Pride & Politics: 30 Barrier-Breaking LGBTQ+ Political Leaders,” highlighting influential LGBTQ+ figures in politics. NBC OUT will also feature “Drag Race” winner Nymphia Wind, the “queer food” movement, and various Pride marches.
- 3rd HOUR TODAY will preview the new Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center.
- MSNBC’s Weekends with Jonathan Capehart will feature Pride-related segments once per weekend throughout June, highlighting LGBTQ+ rights leaders and other notable members of the community.
- CNBC will feature coverage across the network, CNBC.com, CNBC Make It, and CNBC en Español, including interviews with notable LGBTQ+ business leaders and stories on healthcare access, HIV prevention and treatment, long-term care, and the new Franchising Pride Council for LGBTQ+ small business owners.
- NBCUniversal Local stations, including NBC and Telemundo owned stations and the NBC Regional Sports Networks, will celebrate Pride with their communities through special programming and coverage of local Pride parades in both English and Spanish.
- Peacock will stream the award-winning NBC Nightly News and NBC Out docu-series Stonewall 50: The Revolution.
Recently, NBCUniversal News Group received three GLAAD Media Awards, honoring their outstanding media representation of the LGBTQ+ community and the issues affecting their lives.
