May 7, 2024 – A thrilling and high-octane new reality entertainment event, The Fortune Hotel is produced by Tuesday’s Child exclusively for ITV and STV, the 8 episodes x 60 minutes prime-time series will invite viewers into a luxury Caribbean resort filled with glamour, opulence and deception.

Hosted by the incomparable Stephen Mangan, 10 pairs of contestants will arrive at The Fortune Hotel, where they will be given an all-important briefcase. Inside one case is the ultimate jackpot of £250,000 in cash, eight are empty, and one contains the dreaded Early Checkout Card – whichever pair is left holding that case at the end of each show will see their stay brought to a dramatic, premature end.

Every day the contestants have the chance to try to uncover who has which case through playing compelling challenges, and as the “Whogotit” mystery ramps up for the hotel guests, viewers at home will remain deliciously in-the-know throughout, witness to all of their plans and strategies playing out.

The climax of each episode is the nerve-shredding case swap in the seductive Lady Luck bar where each pair must decide whether to keep or swap their case. Have the couple with the life-changing sum of cash managed to bluff and blag their way free of suspicion? Or will their case be ruthlessly taken off them? And who will be left holding the case containing the Early Checkout Card?

Why have you chosen to visit The Fortune Hotel?

Claire: We always embrace adventure and wanted to do something together. The opportunity to do something outside of your comfort zone is always a good thing.
Daniel: The weather was also a big factor and the opportunity for us to share an experience enticed us as parents because we don’t often get to spend time together just the two of us.

How would you spend the 250K prize money if you won it?

Daniel: We would want to spend it in different ways, the boring side of that would involve paying off our mortgage. We’d also like to donate to charity, in particular Birmingham Children’s Hospital. We’d also want to treat ourselves to a nice holiday with our children to compensate for leaving them for a few weeks during the filming.

What was the most memorable experience you had during the filming?

Claire: The first challenge we took part in was something I’ll never forget, the nervousness of not knowing what to expect, it ended up being so much fun.
Daniel: At one moment in the show our names were up in lights, I’ve never had my name up in lights so that was quite remarkable. I’d say all of the challenges too, it was a real bonding experience for everyone, the sun was shining, we were all buzzing and it gave us a chance to all really get to know each other.
Daniel: There was also a funny moment when Claire and I fell out with each other as she wasn’t happy with how competitive I was, although I reminded her that the whole point of the show is to compete.

What was the most dramatic moment you encountered whilst staying at The Fortune Hotel?

Daniel: Popping my inflatable and having to go down rapids on my knees.
Claire: The Night Cap in The Lady Luck Bar was always full of drama when cases were swapped and the Early Checkout card was swapped about.

What couples did you get on best with?

Claire: Everybody but I’d say we were closest to Samm and Aysha, Will and Jo-Anne and Mike and Adam who were all brilliant fun. We purposely didn’t form alliances because we didn’t want to put ourselves in a position where we’d possibly have to break them.
Daniel: I got on well with Adam and Mike but overall there were so many different personalities, which made for such an interesting experience which is what made the show so great to be a part of.

Who did you have the most disagreements with during your stay?

Daniel: I’d say we had the most with each other.

If you could invite any three celebrities to stay alongside you at The Fortune Hotel who would they be?

Daniel: I’d like to see the show’s host Stephen Mangan involved, he’s very bright so I think he would be great.
Both: Jonny Wilkinson, Michael McIntyre and Monica Galetti.

What were the biggest perks of being a guest at The Fortune Hotel?

Claire: The stunning location and having a total break from your normal day to day routine. We had nothing to focus on other than the game which was nice for a change.
