How do you feel to have made it this far in the competition?

I’m really excited. I’m really super excited. I didn’t think I was going to make it this far and I’m just really proud of myself. It’s the first time, in probably 20-odd years of my life, I’m actually proud of something I have achieved. I’ve spoken about my struggles with mental health for a long, long time and not feeling like I was good enough, I lost my self-worth and my confidence. This has given me my confidence back and for the first time in a long time, I feel proud of myself.

What has been the best moment of the experience so far and was it as you’d imagined?

Meeting the other cast members actually and feeling really humble. I’m amongst some absolutely inspiring people who’ve got fantastic stories. They’ve all been through some adversity or some traumas in their life and they’re all just nice people. I think they’re all amazing, to be honest, and I’m just really humbled. Look, going in there I did have some reservations, maybe certain people in there I might not click with, but I got on with every single person. They’re all fantastic.

What were your expectations coming into the show?

It has exceeded all my expectations, really. When you apply and get accepted onto the show, you have sort of thoughts and things but it’s just blown everything away. All for the better, really. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself, there’s nothing I would change. I’ve been totally true to myself throughout it. I didn’t want to be too loud andI didn’t want to be under the radar. I just wanted to go under the radar in terms of not being too confrontational or argumentative. And yeah, just enjoy and embrace the whole experience really. I’ve enjoyed the missions and I’ve enjoyed getting to know people.

Did you think you would make it to the final five in the competition?

I never thought I’d get on the show in the first place to be honest. So, it wasn’t until we pulled up outside the castle that I actually realised, wow. It was then or at the first Round Table that it actually hit home that I was on the show. Up until that point I was still pinching myself, it hadn’t sunk in that I had actually achieved what I’d achieved and I was at the castle on the show. It was after the first Round Table, I think that I actually thought “Wow, this is real now. This is all real.”

What would winning the show mean to you?

It would mean everything to me, and it’s gone past the money. I’d be lying to say that money is not important to me because it is but it’s the experiences I’ve had and just getting through it. And if I don’t win, I don’t win. I’m a very competitive person, I have a sports background. I’m a born winner, I always want to win. But I’ve got to the point now where I don’t mind if I don’t win. I honestly don’t mind and I’m pleased whoever does win. I hope that they go on and do really well. I’m just really happy to get this far. I’m really pleased, to be honest. So yeah, I’ve changed my mindset since being in there, I’ve learned a lot about myself.

What’s been your favourite mission?

Not the spotlight in the graveyard, I got caught I think in record time, about five seconds! I’m not built for speed or mobility and I couldn’t really fit behind the gravestones to hide. That wasn’t my favourite. The catapult mission was fun, the bird call mission was fun and the escape the cabin mission was fun too.

Throughout this experience have you learnt anything about yourself?

I’ve learned an awful lot about myself. I’ve had a lot of time to think about things and about what’s important to me in life. I’m very close to my family, my immediate family; my partner and her children and my son and my family. But this made me realise how much my family is my driving force, how much they motivate me and how important things are. Life is all about experiences. Money is important, don’t get me wrong. But money couldn’t buy the experience I’ve had. Nothing can pay for that. Meeting these people, I would never have met these people, I’ve got friends for life now and they’re all great, I can relate to lots of them. No matter how much money I wouldn’t give up the experience.

How do you feel to have made it this far in the competition?

It feels really surreal to be in the final five. I’m actually really proud of the game that I’ve played so far. I do feel like I deserve it. I came up at the Round Table a few times for being quite quiet, but I think that is a pretty fair gameplay and it’s proved that it can get you to the end. So yes, very surreal but also deserving!

What has been the best moment of the experience so far?

When we managed to catch Paul as a Traitor, that was a really good moment for me. He’s a great guy, but that one was particularly good for my game plan because I’d also managed to convince people about Ash and been a part of the Miles banishment too. I’d had suspicions about Paul for a very long time, so that was a really good moment. The room erupted, the atmosphere was wild, and it was kind of good to watch Paul enjoy it too. He looked like he actually really enjoyed his reveal! So that moment will stick with me for sure.

What were your expectations going into the show and was it as you imagined?

I had completely underestimated the scale of the show. I was prepared for how psychologically challenging it might have been, and I knew I could be quite robust, and I feel I have been all the way through and haven’t cracked under the pressure. The scale of the show, the scale of the missions, even the intensity of the missions I don’t think I was prepared for, but I was all for it!

Did you think you’d make it to the final five in the competition?

About halfway through the game when there were lots of quiet people leaving and I was still there, I was thinking that I was under the radar and onto a winner. Even for me to suspect Ash, Miles and Paul and not much come back on me, it was that moment I thought I might make it far as I was staying slightly under the radar as long as I stuck to my game plan. However, you can never let yourself believe that you’re okay because you just never know with this show. My plan has been working… so far!

What would winning the show mean to you?

If I win, I think it would make me feel really smart and accomplished! You go into this not thinking you’re going to win a penny but the further on you get, the more you think that there is a chance you’ll be walking away with a big chunk of money and think about what that could do to your life. My feelings have been changing almost within the hour throughout the show. At some points, I feel really confident and then someone I don’t expect to leave will be murdered, or someone is banished at the Round Table whose name hadn’t come up before which makes you think you really aren’t ever safe.

What has been your favourite mission?

I don’t want to say the funeral mission, because Diane left us, but that was the campest thing I’ve ever seen in my life, and it was so much fun. It was so over the top and it was so appropriate for the character that Diane was in the show. I can’t imagine any other player getting a state funeral – it was amazing. It was one of those missions where lots of moments came out of, like leading me to really suspecting Paul. I remember thinking that he didn’t look worried. So that mission really solidified some suspicions that I had, and it also gave us all this fire underneath us that we were going to avenge Diane.

Throughout this experience have you learnt anything about yourself?

The show really solidified this idea that I have of myself that I don’t have to be the loudest person in the room, or the most confident, or the funniest or even the person with the most people around them. If you turn up, pay attention and use all the skills you have then you can get far. I don’t have much ego about me anyway but when I went in there, it really didn’t matter to me how other people saw me. I just wanted to make good, honest connections and allies and I think that’s what has helped keep me under the radar so far to be honest.

What has been the funniest thing you’ve seen on social media about yourself?

It has to be that me and Charlie are the same person! I have to say though, it’s an absolute compliment to be compared to Charlie. I have no problem being compared to her because she is just a top tier babe.

How do you feel to have made it this far in the competition?

I just feel mind-blown, to be honest, I think I’ve done everything I could right. I couldn’t have done anything else to get here but also it has been a bit of luck as well. I couldn’t be more thankful to the other players around me but especially the Traitors, just because the way they’ve played the game has allowed me to get to where I am. For example, Ash, Miles, and Paul, all of them could have tried bringing me down with them and the ship. I can’t say I would have been too happy if someone was coming at me who I knew was supposed to be on my team. So I’m just lost for words, really. I just can’t believe it.

What has been the best moment of the experience so far and was it as you’d imagined?

I can’t even pick one single moment! From the start of going into the Traitors conclave and seeing Paul’s face. I mean, the excitement and the happiness we sort of shared, I just knew we were going to have a blast in there doing it together. You always have that one naughty friend in school, you’re never in trouble by yourself, there’s always one and normally it’s me and my best mate. In The Traitors’ castle, it was as if it was me and Paul, we were always in trouble together, just never getting caught for it, luckily. But if I had to choose one single moment, it’s got to be that shield play in a previous mission, when I won the shield in the tunnel. It was because I had the plan of winning the shield, but I was so far behind in a tunnel that I thought that shield was definitely gone. And then when I looked to my left, and it was just there shining, it obviously brought the plan back to life. So that had to be the best feeling when I saw that shield.

What were your expectations coming into the show?

My expectations? Oh my gosh, when I first came into the show, the first day I thought I was a goner. I had no expectations. Obviously, I went there to win it and I thought I could but like I said, I just had that face where I thought everyone would look at me and think let’s just get this guy gone. Whether or not just because they think I am a Traitor but maybe because they don’t like me. I think I’m approachable but people either love or hate me so I didn’t expect anything. I thought I’d be there for a day or two, then I’d be a goner. So, it’s exceeded my expectations and more.

Did you think you would make it to the final five in the competition?

No way. I thought, obviously I was going there to win it and if I was a Traitor, I was going all the way. But also, like I’ve said I’ve got lucky with my fellow players, the Faithfuls and Traitors around me, because it all depends on them, the game can change at any minute. So not only is it all down to your gameplay, but there’s a lot of luck involved as well and a lot of how people handle conversations and how they hold themselves. Obviously, I’ve been super lucky with everyone playing around me as their games intertwined with mine, and I’ve come this far.

What would winning the show mean to you?

I couldn’t even imagine winning the show. A 22-year-old with 100 grand in his hands would be amazing. Like I said, the first thing I’d do is take my family out for dinner and just being sat there looking at everyone and being able to pay for it would just be the best feeling ever. So, I just can’t even put into words what it would mean to win that amount of money at this young age.

What has been the funniest thing you’ve seen on social media about yourself?

I was looking through and I saw someone had photoshopped a snake with a gold cross earring and that has sort of become my feature I think. So now I’m going to have to keep this George Michael earring in forever!

What’s been your favourite mission?

I loved all the missions, to be fair. The one thing going in there was that I was so excited about the missions and obviously winning the money and building the prize pot. There were so many missions, the first one was amazing with the swimming, and it was so tiring. That crossbow one made me laugh, Zack was thinking he was the best at the crossbow and somehow, I didn’t even manage to miss one! So that was a fun mission. But it depends, some days they’re really challenging on the body and the physical side of things like that one building the catapult, that was a massive mission. I guess I just loved them all. But I also enjoyed the mental ones, all of them were just a blast.

Throughout this experience have you learnt anything about yourself?

Yeah, 100%. I’ve surprised myself by how mentally strong I actually am. When it comes to this environment where you’re mentally challenged all day and you’re up late, it’s tiring and people are trying to figure it out and also you’re lying on top of that. I’m proud I’ve been able to just stay myself, keep smiling and play the game. It’s just been amazing. I didn’t even know I had that capability, to be honest.

How do you feel to have made it this far in the competition?

Absolutely incredible and so very grateful! I actually can’t believe it, but I’ve worked hard and I’m a big believer in what you put in, is what you get out, sprinkled with a little bit of luck of course! From applying for the show, to getting accepted and starting the process – everything just felt right. Like the stars were aligning themselves. As soon as I found out I was right about Paul being a Traitor, I got the validation that I was on the right lines and then there was nothing holding me back from then on. That’s when I started to believe in myself and grew in even more confidence. At that point, I was happy to go home as I knew I’d played the game right up until then and got to one of my checkpoints. But then, because of the confidence and self-belief, I told myself, now it’s time to shine, time to accelerate and turn up the gas, build that heat and get to the end fighting! It clearly worked and got me to where I am now so I’m definitely going to go for it!

What has been the best moment of the experience so far?

There have been so many. Being a team captain in the mission where we had to dig for the pieces of gold and absolutely smashing it with my team, was a massive stand out moment for me. That day everyone pushed me to the front and put their trust in me, wanted me to be captain and thought that I could drive them to success – and we did it. I’d also have to say catching Paul as a Traitor. That was a huge, huge moment for me – I’m sure everyone spotted the chair flip! I was buzzing.

What were your expectations going into the show, and was it as you imagined?

It exceeded my expectations one billion percent. I like to set my expectations low, so that I’m never disappointed. When I came into the castle and started the game, I quickly realised this is bigger than anything I could have ever imagined. To be a part of the biggest show on TV right now, it’s been mind-blowing.

Did you think you’d make it to the final five in the competition?

To be honest, I tried to manifest the idea of me winning. I started the show not just to participate but I wanted to win. I really wanted to be a Traitor at first so it took me a while to adapt, believe in myself as a Faithful and think that I could go all the way. When your initial gameplan is geared towards being a Traitor, all of a sudden you have to switch it up and start believing in yourself as a Faithful. It took some time, but I started to work and graft to be the best Faithful. You really do need to graft as you have to always watch people, you need to be looking at everyone and listening to the conversations and absorbing everything as much as you possibly can. Whereas as a Traitor, all you have to do is lie. So, as a Faithful you have to be hypervigilant every single moment. It’s all about getting the balance right at each and every opportunity that presents itself. So, I worked hard as a Faithful to find those Traitors and believed that I’d make it to this final. I’m so grateful it’s paid off but now let’s take it to the next level!

What would winning the show mean to you?

It isn’t even about the money for me. I’ve just been enjoying the experience so much. Yes, it’s been stressful at times, but I’ve literally just been enjoying every single moment. The longer I’ve been here I’ve started to forget that we are playing for money. I do want to win the show but not for the money, for the principle of Faithfuls going all the way. My experience in The Traitors has been truly overwhelming. The fact that I’ve made it to the final is amazing and if I win, the money would of course be a huge bonus, but it’ll mean more to me that we did it as Faithfuls. I did this for my family and for my friends.

What has been your favourite mission?

It would have to be the mission where we were digging for gold and running over the water – the team captain moment. That day overall was amazing. We did the mission at a fishing lake, and I’m a fisherman, so I LOVED that. Straight away they put their faith in me as team captain. As soon as Claudia told us to begin, I gathered everyone together and told them the plan I had that I thought would allow us to win. They put their trust in me and we absolutely smashed it.

Throughout this experience have you learnt anything about yourself?

I’ve learnt to appreciate every single day that you get in life. It was a deep moment that came to me recently. Each morning arriving at breakfast you’re so happy that you’re still there and this is just a gameshow. It hit me really hard that there are people that don’t get these mornings on a daily basis in normal life. You really have to appreciate a simple thing of being able to wake up every morning. Obviously in The Traitors everything is heightened because we’re competing and we’re on TV, but you can translate that to everyday life. That was the biggest learning curve for me. You’re going to have to tackle missions in real life and you’ve just got to try your best and work through it.

What has been the funniest thing you’ve seen on social media about yourself?

Oh my god. Jaz-atha Christie. Sherlock Singh. People have been saying that I need my own detective series after the show and I’m just praying that actually comes to fruition…

Mollie

How do you feel to have made it this far in the competition?

I mean, I can’t believe I am in the final. To even get onto the show is a massive achievement and never in a million years did I think I was going to get to the final. I thought I was probably going to be one of the first to be murdered! But honestly, I couldn’t be happier, this has been the best journey and I’ve made some friends for life. So, no matter what happens I’ll be happy.

What has been the best moment of the experience so far and was it as you’d imagined?

I have loved the whole experience; it has been amazing. Although sometimes it has been stressful, the missions were incredible, and we have been like a little family while we’ve been here. One of my favourite moments was definitely when Harry fell in the mud on the mission, honestly, I think I’ll laugh about that for the rest of my life. I think that’s probably one of my favourites. Another one was when we got two Traitors in a row, we got Miles and Paul and I had a shield as well. So that was a very nice sleep that night!

What were your expectations coming into the show?

I think it’s definitely beaten my expectations. I didn’t think I was going to make as many friends as I did and I definitely thought I wouldn’t have seen them as lifelong friends either. But I feel so close to them. I think as well, I kind of thought I’d get a lot more heat. I thought that I was going to have people argue with me and stuff and I felt like I got let off the hook pretty easy, which was nice. So yeah, that’s definitely not what I expected. Overall, I think it’s been better than I could have ever imagined.

Did you think you would make it the final five in the competition?

I never in my life thought I’d make it to the final. I remember my parents before I left bigging me up, they were like, “Even if you’re the first to go, you’ve done so well to be there.” So, it is definitely a shock to the system to be in the final. I feel like every day I have made it to breakfast, I just can’t believe I’m still here! It’s like no other feeling I’ve ever felt.

What would winning the show mean to you?

Winning the show would just change my life. It would mean that I could have a safety net and I could go travelling and put a deposit down on a house. I think because I have spent a lot of time unwell, it would definitely mean I can make up for lost time and having the money gives you options to travel and see the world. Just catching up on lost time, really.

What has been the funniest thing you’ve seen on social media about yourself?

I think one of the funniest ones I’ve seen was putting out a missing person report for Mollie, who on earth is she? That was brilliant.

What’s been your favourite mission?

It’s hard to say. Can I say two? I think the catapult mission was definitely one of my favourites. I think it was when we came together really well as a team, and everyone started to work together. We had friendships that had been built and you can really tell how much people cared about each other in that mission and how everyone really tried to pull everyone up and keep the spirits high. Then another one of my favourites was the cabin mission, I think it pushed my limits a little bit. I’m quite scared of the dark and being underground in a small space was quite scary with things falling on top of you and stuff. So, I think that tested me a little bit which was good because that’s exactly what I wanted to do going in there.

Throughout this experience have you learnt anything about yourself?

I’ve learned so much about myself from this experience. I think it’s made me stronger and more resilient and it has also made me more confident in my decisions. I think that as we approach the end of this, I’m a much stronger person than I was going into it, definitely. Also, getting to the final has just made me realise I need to give myself a little bit more credit.

It’s the final episode of The Traitors, the ultimate psychological game of trust! They’ve survived every banishment and murder in Claudia’s castle of treachery, but it all comes down to this. Will the Faithful weed out all the Traitors and split the prize pot between them, or will any Traitors remain undetected, and take the life-changing sum of money all for themselves?
