FOX News and The Washington Examiner, in conjunction with the Iowa Republican Party, will present the first Iowa presidential debate on August 11th. The debate will take place at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa and will set the stage for the Iowa Republican Party Ames Straw Poll on August 13th.
In making the announcement, FOX News Senior Vice President of News Michael Clemente said, “FOX News is proud to partner with The Washington Examiner and the Iowa GOP to kick off the 2012 election season and provide viewers the most thorough coverage of this important debate.”

A second FOX News and Iowa Republican Party debate is scheduled to take place prior to the Iowa Caucus at Sioux City’s historic Orpheum Theater. Both debates will be presented live and exclusively on FOX News Channel (FNC), FOX News Radio, FOX News Mobile and FOXNews.com.
