TV Nova in the Czech Republic and by MEGA Tv in Greece have licensed ITV’s popular quiz show format, The Chase.
This brings the territories conquered for the ever-exciting quiz to an impressive total of 17 countries. In the Czech Republic, the show will launch later this year as a daily, to be broadcast on channel Nova. In Greece, The Chase will air early 2022 on MEGA Tv.
Silvia Majeská, Program Director at TV Nova says, “We are happy that The Chase, a quiz competition with tremendous global success, will soon hit Czech TV screens too. We are especially thrilled that the show will be aired on TV Nova. The Chase combines entertainment and knowledge with excitement about how competitors will perform, and about who will take home marvellous winnings.”
Kostas Sousoulas, Chief content Officer MEGA Tv says, “The Chase is one of the most exciting quiz shows. We are happy to announce that MEGA Tv will present it to the greek audience in season 2021-2022. It is a real pleasure to work with the ITV Studios team on this project,”
Also in other parts of the world, The Chase is doing incredibly well. It has just been recommissioned for a 9th series in Serbia by Adrenalin and in Croatia, HRT has ordered an impressive 156 episodes for its 10th season.
The show is nominated for the prestigious BAFTA Award in the UK, and recently won a TV Academy Award in Israel. In the U.S., a second series has been ordered following a very successful first season on ABC, and in Spain the quiz show is currently performing well on La1.
The Chase UK has been sold to over 140 territories worldwide. And The Chase Extra, brand new shorts in which each of the formidable Chasers turn quizmaster, was launched earlier this year in the UK on ITV Hub.
The Chase is created by Potato, part of ITV Studios and is distributed internationally by ITV Studios.
