KTVI/FOX 2, Tribune Broadcasting’s St. Louis television station, crushed the competition in news coverage. Whether national or local, FOX 2 News outperformed others in the market ranking top in all dayparts (including weekend mornings) for the November sweeps period.
“The commitment our stations have to providing compelling content to our viewers, along with the strong relationship our stations have with the St. Louis viewers, were both highlighted extensively in the latest November sweep,” said Kurt Krueger, Interim General Manager, KTVI FOX 2 & KPLR 11.
While all eyes were on Missouri for the mid-terms, FOX 2 News was the authority on election night, November 6, ranking #1 with Adults 25-54 at 5p, 6p, 9p, 10p and with exclusive, expanded coverage 10:30p – midnight. When Snowvember hit the area with an early winter storm on November 14 and 15, FOX 2 News blew away the competition, ranking #1 from morning to night.
Viewers also turned to FOX 2’s morning news on the weekend. FOX 2 News Saturday Morning (7am) was the #1 local newscast on Saturday mornings among Adults 25-54. It has led the market for the past 31 out 34 sweeps. FOX 2’s 6am News on Saturday ranked #2. FOX 2 News Sunday Morning (7am) was the #1 local news in the demo on Sunday mornings followed by FOX 2’s 6am News.
