‘The View’ Ranks No. 1 in Households and Total Viewers Among the Daytime Network Talk Shows and News Programs for the Week of Feb. 19

For the 2nd Consecutive Week, ‘The View’ Delivers Gains Across the Board, Posting 5-Week High in Women 25-54 and Sees Increases Year to Year in Total Viewers / On Thursday, ‘The View’ Turns in Its Most-Watched Thursday Telecast in Over 3 Months

Season to Date, ‘The View’ Is Up in Total Viewers, Ranking No. 1 in Households and Total Viewers Among All Network and Syndicated Daytime Talk Shows and News Programs for the 4th Consecutive Season

For the week of Feb. 12, 2024, the most recent week including syndication, “The View” ranked No. 1 in Households (1.61 rating-tied) among all network and syndicated daytime talk shows and news programs versus “Live with Kelly and Mark” (1.61 rating-tied), NBC’s “TODAY Third Hour” (1.34 rating), “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” (0.94 rating), CBS’ “The Talk” (0.90 rating) and “NBC News Daily” (0.78 rating).

For the week of Feb. 19, 2024, “The View” ranked No. 1 in Households (1.65 rating) and Total Viewers (2.448 million) among the daytime network talk shows and news programs, leading NBC’s “TODAY Third Hour” (1.35 rating and 1.982 million, respectively), “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” (0.96 rating and 1.423 million, respectively), “NBC News Daily” (0.77 rating and 1.152 million, respectively) and CBS’ “The Talk” (0.84 rating and 1.259 million, respectively). “The View” also averaged 220,000 Women 25-54 and 135,000 Women 18-49, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.

For the 2nd straight week, “The View” increased over the previous week in Total Viewers (+3% – 2.448 million vs. 2.375 million), Women 25-54 (+1% – 220,000 vs. 218,000) and Women 18-49 (+1% – 135,000 vs. 134,000). In addition, “The View” delivered its strongest Women 25-54 performance in 5 weeks — since w/o 1/15/24.

“The View” improved year to year in Total Viewers (+8% – 2.448 million vs. 2.274 million).

On Thursday (2/22/24), “The View,” with guests Wendy Williams’ niece Alex Finnie talking about the “Where Is Wendy Williams?” documentary and Mario Van Peebles, turned in its most-watched Thursday telecast (2.551 million) in over 3 months — since 11/9/23.

Season to date, “The View” is up in Total Viewers (+3% – 2.457 million vs. 2.394 million) versus the comparable weeks last season to a 3-year high — since the 2020-2021 season.

Season to date, “The View” is ranking No. 1 in Households and Total Viewers among all network and syndicated daytime talk shows and news programs for the 4th consecutive season.
