The one-hour documentary will explore the fascinating journey of Mary & George to the screen and the untold, and somewhat surprising, history of the 1600s

Mary & George & Me launches on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW on March 12th

Sky has announced Mary & George & Me, an accompanying documentary to the Sky Original limited event series Mary & George hosted by Alexa Chung, coming soon to Sky and streaming service NOW.

With her infectious and playful curiosity, Alexa meets the creators and cast to find out how the story of Mary and George Villiers has been imagined for screen, as well as historians and experts in the enigmatic Jacobean period to learn about the culture, fashion and society of the 1600s.

Contributors include the cast of Mary & George, Julianne Moore, Nicholas Galitzine and Tony Curran, Lead Director Oliver Hermanus, Costume Designer Annie Symons and her team, Hair and Make Up Designer Paul Gooch, Executive Producer for Hera Pictures Liza Marshall, show writer, creator and Executive Producer DC Moore, author Benjamin Woolley, renowned author and academic Dr Katherine Rundell and historian, writer and journalist Dr Kate Lister.

The documentary combines interviews, archive imagery, explainers and scenes from the main show to create an immersive and entertaining experience for audiences to enjoy before and after they’ve watched Mary & George.

Mary & George & Me is produced by Industria Studios in association with Sky Studios. Executive Producers for Sky Studios are Becky Freeman and Charlotte Mardon-Heath. Alexa Chung serves as Executive Producer.
