ESPN Deportes will televise the NFL’s regular-season MNF game in Mexico City on Nov. 18 – Kansas City Chiefs vs Los Angeles Chargers from Estadio Azteca.
Multiple ESPN Deportes studio shows will be live from Mexico City on Nov. 17-19 as part of the company’s extensive coverage, both in the United States and on ESPN networks in Spanish-speaking Latin America.
The Chiefs-Chargers match-up will be the 11th regular-season NFL game to be held on Mexican territory, and one of five regular season games the league has played internationally this year. The game will mark the first time in 23 years (since 1996) that the Kansas City Chiefs play in Mexico.
Spanish-language coverage kicks off Sunday, Nov. 17 with a special edition of SportsCenter Fin de Semana (SC Weekend) at 1 p.m. ET., featuring reports from Estadio Azteca and around Mexico City. Live coverage continues on Monday, Nov. 18 starting at 10 a.m. ET on ESPN AM. The game will be preceded by a special NFL Esta Noche and a post-game SportsCenter special produced from Estadio Azteca with live reports from outside the stadium.
ESPN Deportes Digital will feature previews, videos, behind-the-scene analysis, highlights, player rankings, recap and post-game reactions, as well as field reporting by Rafael Zamorano, Luis Miguel Vasavilbaso, Itzel Bandín and Ivis Aburto. The coverage will also feature a Facebook Live session featuring Bandín from site.
On ESPN Deportes social media platforms, the coverage will include the NFL preview series “5 Razones” on @espndeportes Instagram IGTV and the first 30-minute Twitter Live Pre-Game show on @ESPNDeportes hosted by ESPN commentator Mauricio Pedroza, and former NFL player Rolando Cantu on Monday, Nov. 18 at 3:30 p.m. ET. Feature stories will include a piece on the Estadio Azteca history, Chiefs and Chargers fans’ excitement leading up to a Monday Night Football game and a story on defensive back Michael Davis’s road to the NFL.
