The Washington Post is thrilled to announce José Andrés, award-winning chef and distinguished humanitarian, is showcasing an assortment of his trademark dishes as part of its reimagined Recipes database.
The new experience incorporates an interactive archive of more than 10,000 recipes, with features to help readers find and cook their best meals ever. Collections of dishes from notable chefs will also be featured in videos, with the launch kicked off by Andrés cooking a traditional Spanish fish stew, suquet, from his “The World Central Kitchen Cookbook.”
“Food is a universal language that continues to attract and build community here at The Post,” said Joe Yonan, Food editor. “We want to encourage an uncomplicated cooking experience for preferred ingredients, methods and cuisines, making it easier than ever before to cook with us.”
From beginner to advanced, readers can search the new Recipes tool by preparation time, course, dietary preference and more. The experience also allows users to rate, comments and save recipes . Staff-curated recipe collections point readers to the best options in popular categories, including holiday favorites and recipes made Instant Pots and air fryers and other kitchen appliances.
The new user-friendly database offers a cross-platform digital experience with vibrant, mouth-watering photography. “The Post’s new Recipes experience, available both on our site and in app, empowers homecooks to discover even more recipes focused on their interests,” said Jessica Gilbert, head of Product.
