Watford striker Troy Deeney is joining The Sun as a columnist and talkSPORT Breakfast as a new presenter.
Deeney will be a weekly regular at Breakfast with input into some live programming on the network plus talkSPORT’s podcast output.
He will be alongside Laura Woods and Ally McCoist every Monday and will feature as a live football pundit across the season and continue playing for Watford as they seek an immediate return to the Premier League.
Troy, who has made over 500 League appearances and scored over 160 competitive goals, will be introduced to Sun readers this week and his new forthright column will give a fresh perspective on the game.
Troy Deeney said: “I can’t wait to get going on The Sun and talkSPORT. The Sun is a massive paper and I understand the responsibilities that go with that. talkSPORT is the number one sports station so to be broadcasting on Breakfast and across the schedule will be very special for me.
“I want to add something unique and give a different perspective, not only on football but many areas of life.”
