Pammi Pasqual and KYRIsax Bring Nostalgic Mediterranean Energy to New Release

DJ and music Producer, Pammi Pasqual teams up with Cypriot saxophonist KYRIsax for their captivating new release, ‘Mediterranean Breeze,’ via Pammi Pasqual’s own label Playdance Records. The chilled, instrumental Deep House track reflects his signature blend of nostalgia and vibrant energy, delivering a sonic escape to sunlit Mediterranean landscapes. 

Following his release of ‘Riders On The Storm’, Pammi Pasqual gets ready to showcase his sound with a new original release that highlights his creativity and sound, one that is poised to continue building off previous releases, making his mark on the Electronic music scene, with an evolving sound and style that sets him apart from his peers. This time, he collaborates with the talented saxophonist KYRIsax, whose talent and sound seamlessly complements both the production’s vibrant energy and Pammi Pasqual’s unique sonic identity. 

Displaying mellow saxophone melodies in Arabic scales, ‘Mediterranean Breeze’ evolves through a steady beat and evolving motifs, combining a lush string section with a saxophone layer, played by KYRIsax, that punctuates the track’s progression. Unexpectedly, the composition takes a surprising turn towards the end, infusing elements of Ethnic House and Electro Swing, having as a result a harmonious blend of styles that is as reflective as it is dynamic. The inspiration for ‘Mediterranean Breeze’ came from Pasqual’s personal experiences, as he recalls: 

“I wrote it at the end of one of my summer holidays in Cyprus and just before I leave the island for the UK winter. I produced the main idea of this song on my phone with GarageBand while I was sitting in the middle of an olive tree field where my accommodation was. When I return back to London, we recorded the saxophone melodies with KYRIsax in my home studio, actually our home, since we used to be flatmates at the time! That saxophone recording took the entire production to another level! I am releasing this song now at the end of 2024, while daydreaming of my summers in the mediterranean sea, right in the beginning of a cold, cold winter! Close your eyes and enjoy the dreamy and nostalgic vibes of it.”
