RAYE, Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris, Dave, Olivia Rodrigo, Doja Cat, and More Nominated for The Global Awards 2024
Tom Grennan, Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, Ice Spice, Zara Larsson, Miley Cyrus, Becky Hill, and more also receive nomination nods, as the shortlists are revealed
After a sensational year, RAYE leads the nominations for The Global Awards, receiving SIX nominations across six different categories
Global, the Media & Entertainment group, has revealed the shortlists for The Global Awards 2024, celebrating the biggest stars of music and entertainment across 15 exciting categories, including Best Song, Rising Star, Best Male, Best Female, Best Group and more. The categories reflect the content aired on Global’s radio stations and on Global Player, and the winners will be announced on-air on Global’s radio stations and on Global Player on Friday, March 22 2024.
Entering its seventh successive year, The Global Awards brings together all of Global’s radio stations including Capital, Heart, Smooth Radio, Classic FM, Radio X, Capital XTRA, Capital Dance, and Gold, as well as Global Player, to celebrate the biggest stars of music, podcasting, and entertainment across a wide range of genres.
After a sensational year, RAYE leads the nominations for The Global Awards, receiving six nominations across six different categories. International pop superstars Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo follow, with four nominations each, as do Calvin Harris, Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran, Dave, and Tate McRae.
Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, Tom Grennan, Miley Cyrus, Anne-Marie are nominated in three categories respectively, and other shortlisted artists include Stormzy, Leigh-Anne, Kylie Minogue, Ice Spice, Jung Kook, PinkPantheress, Kenya Grace, Jazzy, Becky Hill, and Zara Larsson. ABBA, Rod Stewart and Dolly Parton are just some artists nominated for the Global Legend category, while Blur, Nothing But Thieves and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are all up for Best Rock & Indie.
Shortlisted podcasts for The Global Awards include ‘The News Agents’, ‘Big Fish with Spencer Matthews’, ‘The Rest Is Politics’, ‘Rachel Johnson’s Difficult Women’, ‘Filthy Ritual’ and ‘The Wittering Whitehalls’. The Classical Music category includes teenage singing sensation and Britain’s Got Talent star Malakai Bayoh, cellist Abel Selaocoe, and organist and conductor Anna Lapwood.
