Netflix Top 10 Week of Nov. 4: “Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson” Enters the Ring; “Meet Me Next Christmas” Unwraps #1

Published: November 12, 2024 — Forget a Rocky-style training montage – fans prepared for the live Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight on November 15 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT with the documentary Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson, which entered the English TV List at #4 (4.4M views). The three-part series is helping heavyweight pundits choose their fighters ahead of the big fight – who is yours?

Season 4, Part 2 of Outer Banks uncovered the top spot on the English TV List with 8.6M views, and the Pogues shared a special thank you to fans for their love throughout the seasons. Season 2, Act I of ARCANE, the animated series based on the popular multiplayer online battle arena game League of Legends, also had a strong debut, taking second place with 6.3M views. Act II drops on November 16 and Act III on November 23.

Meet Me Next Christmas, the new film starring Christina Milian, Devale Ellis and Pentatonix, danced into #1 in its first week on the English Films List with 18.1M views, making it the most watched title of the week. With a new holiday rom-com releasing every Wednesday in November, yule be seeing a lot more wintery action soon.

Hit thrillers returned to dominate the English TV List for another week. Season 2 of The Diplomat starring Keri Russell, Rufus Sewell, and the serenely savage Allison Janney landed at #3 (5.9M views), while Season 1 took #7 (2.6M views). Tyler Perry’s first Netflix series Beauty in Black swept into #5 with 4.3M views. The explosive Australian-set series Territory lassoed #8 (2.4M views).

Two Netflix titles starring Manuel Garcia-Rulfo claimed spots on the lists this week. Academy Award® nominated cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto’s directorial debut, Pedro Páramo, debuted at #3 on the Non-English Films List with 3.9M views. The film is an adaptation of Juan Rulfo’s famed book of the same name, which was released almost 70 years ago. And Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer drove into #6 with 3.4M views.

Documentaries had a strong week. Martha dished up #4 on the English Films List, with 6.2M views. On the English TV List, This is the Zodiac Speaking took #9 (2.1M views), and Investigation Alien entered at #10 (2M views).

Spooky season spirit continued well into November on the English Films List, with Y2K slasher thriller Time Cut cutting up second place (14.9M views), and horror thriller Don’t Move stalking third place (9.1M views).

The drama Let Go (Sweden) claimed the #1 spot on the Non-English Films List (15.9M views) in its second week on the list. On the Non-English TV List, dark-comedy Murder Mindfully (Germany) claimed the top spot (4.7M views). New list entrants included MMA fighter drama The Cage (France) in second place (3.2M views), and the limited series crime drama Bank Under Siege (Spain) in fifth place (2.7M views).
