Netflix Top 10 Week of June 17: ‘Trigger Warning’ Debuts at #1

June 26, 2024 – Jessica Alba is back, and she’s on top. Her new action thriller Trigger Warning debuted atop the English Films List with 25.7M views, making it the most-watched title of the week. Animated film Ultraman: Rising ascended to second place with 7.9M views. If you haven’t yet, Guillermo del Toro suggests you watch this “moving and utterly opulent” film ASAP. Richard Linklater’s Hit Man starring Glen Powell(s) claimed sixth place with 4.4M views1. For those experiencing GP withdrawals, a reminder that all Hit Man bloopers are good Hit Man bloopers (especially when they include puppies).

Esteemed members of the Ton put their differences aside to help Season 3 of Shonda Rhimes’ Bridgerton hold strong at #1 on the English TV List with 16.5M views. The beloved series continued its weeks-long reign over the list, with Season 1 landing at #3 (3.5M views), Season 2 taking the #5 spot (3M views), and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story claiming #10 (2.1M views). Returning favorites dominated the remainder of the English TV List this week. Season 2 of the reality dating competition series Perfect Match flirted its way into the #2 spot (3.6M views), Season 3 of fantasy adventure series Sweet Tooth trekked to #4 (3.1M views), emotional drama Eric danced to #6 (2.9M views) and the quirky, feel-good series Geek Girl struck a pose at #9 (2.3M views). Proving they live and die by the eight-count, the new series America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders entered the list in eighth place with 2.3M views.

Poland took three spots on the Non-English Films List this week. Making their list debuts were the quirky comedy Inheritance in first place (10.5M views) and the family fantasy film Kleks Academy in third place (3.7M views). Drama-thriller Colors of Evil: Red landed in fifth place (1.9M views). Elsewhere, the fin-tastic Under Paris (France) said “Bon-Jaws” to second place in its third week on the list, clocking 10M views. The action-thriller, which last week claimed fifth place on the Most Popular Films (Non-English) List, has now amassed 79.6M views since launch.

It was a big week for debut titles on the Non-English TV List. Gritty crime drama Gangs of Galicia (Spain) took the #1 spot with 2.9M views, Season 4 of reality dating series Love is Blind: Brazil entered at #5 (2.1M views), genre-busting limited series Miss Night and Day (Korea) claimed #6 (1.8M views) and Season 3 of the heartfelt dramedy Kota Factory (India) ranked #7 (1.3M views).
